In recent years, domestic enterprises are keen on walking beam manipulator driven directly by the main engine or controlled by servo mechanism. This manipulator is mainly used for small and medium-sized forgings with simple shape, and its production efficiency is high. Our gear blank forging production line purchased a walking beam manipulator, which finally ran smoothly this month after constant debugging. This replaces the inefficient manual feeding and greatly improves the production efficiency.
Our gear forging production line will be equipped with a hot die forging scale cleaning machine. The basic process of gear forging is as follows: firstly, the initial bar is heated to the pre-forging temperature, and the heated bar will first pass through a forging descaling machine to remove the oxide scale generated after heating, so that the oxide scale can be removed from the source to improve the quality of the finished gear. Then, the transmission belt is sent to the main machine to cooperate with the walking beam, whose main function is to complete the automatic production of the forging process. The specific working step is that the feeding device sends the blank heated to the forging temperature in the intermediate frequency furnace to the first working position of the walking beam, and the jaws of the walking beam clamp and lift the blank to the pre-forging position, then circulate it in turn, and finally the finished product is transmitted to the material box through the conveyor belt.
The moving track of the walking beam manipulator is controlled by PLC program, which can adapt to different mold spacings. The manipulator can accurately and quickly transport the workpieces of each station, which has adjustability, high degree of automation, simple operation and improved production efficiency. Moreover, the equipment has good rigidity, simple structure, convenient maintenance in use and low failure rate, which reduces the cost of maintenance to some extent and is very beneficial to mechanized production.
